Extensively refurbished in early 2025, the clubhouse blends historic charm with contemporary amenities, featuring multiple bars, dining rooms, and event spaces. Keswick Room

The Keswick Room is the main function space at Tyrrells Wood, offering a versatile and spacious setting for up to 120 seated guests, or 200 without seating. With its elegant carpeting and built-in dance floor, it's ideal for a wide range of events, including weddings, end-of-life celebrations, and private parties.

For corporate meetings, the Keswick Room can be configured to suit your needs - with theatre-style seating for presentations or round tables for more interactive discussions. It’s fully equipped with the latest AV technology, including TV and projection facilities, ensuring your meeting runs smoothly.

The room also boasts its own dedicated bar and toilet facilities for convenience, along with air conditioning to keep everyone comfortable, whether you're enjoying a summer event or dancing the night away.

Bright and airy, the Keswick Room features tall windows and French doors along one wall, providing direct access to a large, private patio that stretches along the entire back of the building. This outdoor space can be sectioned off for your event, offering exclusive views across the 18th green and the stunning North Surrey Downs, creating a memorable setting for guests to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

James Braid Room

With its elegant wood panelling, high ceilings, and tall windows offering panoramic views over the 18th green, 10th tee, and the scenic Surrey Downs, the James Braid Room provides a sophisticated yet intimate setting for smaller events. Recently refurbished, it is the perfect venue for a variety of occasions, including dinner events, meetings, or end-of-life celebrations.

The room’s charm is enhanced by a wide opening into the adjacent Eddie Ward Room, granting easy access to the main bar area, and it is also directly accessible from the main entrance lobby for added convenience.

Ideal for gatherings of up to 40 people, the James Braid Room offers the flexibility to host both formal and informal events, with tailored hospitality packages from our experienced food and beverage team to meet your specific needs.

Cecil Reed Room

With a board table seating 16, the Cecil Reed Room can be reconfigured to meet your specific seating requirements. It is equipped with a large flat-screen TV, conferencing facilities, high-speed internet access, and full AV connectivity, making it fully equipped for presentations, meetings, or social events.

The room is accessed via the main staircase and entrance lobby, providing a private and self-contained environment that ensures complete focus and privacy for your event. Offering a wide selection of real ales, fine wines, and spirits, the Eddie Ward Bar features a long, elegant bar area and direct access to the stunning terrace, the James Braid Room, and the 19th. It’s the ideal spot to start your event at Tyrrells Wood—whether you're hosting a drinks reception,  a casual gathering, or meeting before a round of golf.

The Eddie Ward Bar can comfortably provide the perfect setting to relax and socialise before moving on to your next event space, or enjoying the expansive terrace and scenic views.

19th Bar

For those wishing to relax straight from the course in a less formal environment the orangery styled  19th offers a full drinks, food and bar snacks menu for golfers to enjoy.

With direct access to the terrace and adjacent main function room it can also serve as a reception venue before moving onto one of our other event spaces.
